synopsis

Beloved #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with an unforgettable love story between a writer and his unexpected muse.

Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.

Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon—and simultaneously his novel—be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?

opinion

This story is written with a lot of cure and love, it gave me the feeling that Colleen really loved what she was writing, besides, just like the other book that I’ve read from her, I loved how she puts love scenes, humor scenes and I also love how she  slips into her stories some hot scenes.

This book made me be at the edge of tears all the time, but until it was finished I couldn’t let them go. It broke me into a thousand pieces, without exaggeration. It completely kept me guessing and since I was listening it through an audiobook, I flew through it.

***SPOILER ALERT***

My favorite part was probably the one where Fallon threws Ben’s manuscript through the cab’s window. It felt like Fallon was doing the best thing she could’ve ever done to herself.

***END OF THE SPOILER***

My favorite character has to be Fallon, without doubt. Her strength is admirable and, even though I thought that at the end she was the dumbest she could’ve been ever, I still admire and love her. I also loved Ben, I hated him a lot, BUT I LOVED HIM MORE THAT I THOUGHT I COULD LOVE SOMEONE FICTIONAL. And they made the whole story feel super real and truthful.
