I decided that I’d like to make posts where I show my opinion on some specific book-related topics.
Today I wanted to talk to you about audiobooks and all my thoughts on them.
I’ve read audiobooks for about a year or so now, and the experience has been absolutely delightful.
And how do I read them? Well, you may already know that I’m not English, so sometimes is a bit hard for me to read books in english. So when I was reading The Maze Runner (the first book I’ve ever read in English), I found myself having a harsh time and not enjoying it that much. Until I discovered audiobooks. For those who do not know:
ˈau•di•o ˌbook or ˈau•di•oˌbook,n.
Recording of an oral reading of a book, often in abridged form.
And I have to say, audiobooks saved my reading life.
Half way into The Maze Runner, I started reading and listening the book at the same time, making the whole process of reading a whole lot easier and faster.
After that, I kept on doing that same thing with more books; Me Before You, We Were Liars, Three Dark Crowns, etc.
But at the start of last December, I decided that I could listen to audiobooks without reading and I could read without listening, and I have to say that it has been a complete success.
Listening to audiobooks is relaxing and an awesome experience. I love how you can do many things while reading; take photos, organize your planner, draw…
I’ve listened to It Ends With Us and yesterday I finished November 9, both by Colleen Hoover, and I’d to say that I’ve loved them both more than I could’ve ever expect. Reading audiobooks is a fun and fast experience, and for me, it is a 5/5 new way of present books. So yes, it is worth it.
Enjoy the reading! Love you always:
